ABC Radio National's "Go-Set: Pop And Circumstance", broadcast in 2001 and hosted by Go-Set staff reporter, Michelle O'Driscoll, gave me the opportunity to closely research Go-Set Magazine at the National Library in Canberra. As the producer of the programme, part of Radio National's Hindsight series, I got to know many of the former Go-Set staff, as well as the Go-Set expert, David M. Kent, who has written a thesis on the life and times of Go-Set. David was invaluable in compiling this website.

I have tried in the design of this website to reflect the original magazine artwork as closely as possible. Variations in logos, top 40 formats, and the colours used in the charts week by week, all closely reflect how they originally appeared in Go-Set at the time of publication.
Thank you to the many people who contributed Go-Set cover photos.

Special thanks to Ed Nimmervoll, Go-Set's chart compiler, for permission to put these charts on the net, so a wider audience has access to them.

No other website exists to my knowledge which comprehensively lists the entire top 40 charts from this period in Australian rock music history. I hope you enjoy reminiscing.

Please do contact me if you have any thing you'd like to contribute to the website.
Barry McKay, January 2007.
